Tree Removal Process

The worksite is assessed for the safest most efficient way for the tree to be removed.
In some cases the tree can be fell or in others will need to be taken down by hand in pieces.
The tree is removed as per the customer’s request, involving chipping the branches, bucking and piling the firewood and cleaning up the job site leaving the smallest footprint possible.
The stump and firewood will be at the customers request. A job usually is completed within a day, sometimes two if the tree is extra large. The wood mulch from the branch chipping may be left onsite at no extra charge. If the remaining firewood is to be removed, it will be picked up at no extra charge within a few days of completion.

Please use these price lists as a quick easy reference to start pricing your tree removal job!

Place a tape measure around the trunk of the tree, approximately one foot from the ground, determine the measurement of the trunk of the tree in inches. If measuring the circumference is too challenging, simply take the diameter one foot from the ground and multiply it by 3.14 to achieve the circumference.

*Please note that the price guidelines are fairly accurate in most cases, but may mitigated by ideal conditions or inflated by difficult conditions.*

Deciduous - Leaf Tree

For estimating Deciduous - leaf trees which must be taken down in pieces vs. being fell in one piece, please multiply your removal estimate by 1.5 to account for the extra work and time required. Example: a decidous leaf tree costing $450 to fell in one piece and remove will instead be $675 if required to be pieced down and removed.

Price list per circumference measurement, taken one foot from the ground:

$8 per inch for trunks less than 46”
$10 per inch for trunks 46” – 58”
$13 per inch for trunks 58.5” – 74”
$16 per inch for trunks 74.5” – 90”
$20 per inch for trunks 90.5” – 105”
$23 per inch for trunks 105.5” – 121”
$26 per inch for trunks over 121"

Coniferous - Needle Tree

Price list per circumference measurement, taken one foot from the ground:

$7 per inch for trunks less than 46”
$9 per inch for trunks 46” – 58”
$11 per inch for trunks 58.5” – 74”
$13 per inch for trunks 74.5” – 90”
$17 per inch for trunks over 90”

Stump Grinding & Surface Root Grinding

Stump grinding price is calculated per inch by diameter. The measurement is taken at ground level across the stumps widest point:

$5/inch + GST

We can grind out surface roots visible at the surface of the ground, in conjunction with the stump grinding process. Usually, it cost about half the price of the stump grind. For grinding very extensive surface root systems, the cost can be as much as the stump. Please note that we will not grind surface roots of standing trees, until they have been removed.

Stump Mulch Pile Removal

The stump grinding process results in a mulch pile of earth and wood chips. There is no resulting pile from stumps less than 12″ diameter. Removal of mulch pile is priced:
